Tommaso Barbi Wisteria Table Lamp -- a rare piece of Italian mid-century design, hand-crafted in hammered brass by Tommaso Barbi, Italy, circa 1970s. Barbi was one of the great sculptor-designers of postwar Italian lighting, working in the organic leaf and botanical forms that defined a generation of Bottega Gadda output. The Wisteria motif is considered among the rarest and most sought-after of his brass designs, its cascading, hand-hammered leaf form catching light with the same tactile, sculptural quality found across his ginkgo and rhubarb leaf pieces. This table lamp brings that same sculptural presence to a more intimate scale, suited to a console, sideboard, or bedside setting. As with all pieces in Jessie's Curated Finds, it has been sourced and styled for its rarity and character, sitting alongside the paintings as part of the Modern Primitive collection.
