This collection of six original paintings lives on objects that have already had a life — vintage frames pulled from antique markets and old wooden step blocks, the kind that used to help little hands reach the kitchen bench or the bathroom sink. Jessie has painted directly onto them, or framed works especially for them, so that the object and the painting become one thing entirely.

The work is folk, naive, pattern-drunk and deeply decorative — bold shapes, layered motifs, the kind of imagery that feels like it's always existed somewhere. Each piece is completely one of a kind, not just because of the painting, but because of the surface it lives on. You can't replicate a found object.
